Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Orange Pages (the “Service”), a directory that connects people who want to pay for services in bitcoin with people willing to work for bitcoin. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service is a directory only

The Service is a directory. We do not employ, vet, endorse, supervise, or guarantee any user, provider, listing, or the quality, safety, or legality of any work. We are not a party to any agreement, engagement, communication, or payment between users. All work is arranged and performed off-platform, directly between users, at their own risk. We do not process, hold, escrow, or settle payments for any work.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must not be barred from using the Service under any applicable law.

3. Accounts and identity

Identity on the Service is a Nostr public key. You authenticate by signing a challenge with your key; we never receive your private key. You are solely responsible for keeping your key secure. We cannot recover, reset, or restore a lost key, and anyone with your key can act as you. You are responsible for all activity associated with your key.

4. Listings and your content

You are responsible for the content you publish — listings, profile details, reviews, and replies. You represent that you have the right to publish it and that it is accurate and lawful. You grant Orange Pages a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the Service. Your content must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Reviews

The Service uses a mutual blind-review system: after a confirmed engagement, each party may leave one review, and neither review is revealed until both are submitted (or a grace period lapses, after which a submitted review may be published on its own). Reviews must be honest and based on a genuine engagement. We may remove reviews that are fraudulent, fake, incentivized, retaliatory, or otherwise violate these Terms.

6. Boosts and payments

Some optional features (such as boosting a listing) require a Lightning payment to the Service. These payments are for the stated feature only, are non-refundable, and may change in price or availability at any time. Anti-spam “proof-of-payment” amounts, where enabled, are likewise non-refundable. The Service’s use of Lightning is receive-only for these features; we do not facilitate payments for off-platform work.

7. Acceptable use, moderation, and enforcement

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Users may report content, and we may, at our discretion and without notice, remove content, limit, suspend, or terminate access, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties we do not control, including public Nostr relays, Lightning wallets, and price data providers. Information published to Nostr (such as your public profile or direct-message notifications) is handled by independent relays and may be public, replicated, and outside our control. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that any provider or seeker is trustworthy, qualified, or safe, or that any engagement will meet your expectations. You use the Service and engage with other users at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Orange Pages AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BITCOIN, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO your use of the Service or any engagement between users.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Orange Pages and its operators from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of , without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
